Surf Fishing 101

For novice anglers or those new to the area. Also a great refresher for “out of practice” anglers.

Two Classes offered every Tuesday and Thursday in June, July and August
9am or 1pm.

$15 a person. Children under 12 free. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.
Reservations required. Please call 302-227-7974.

Class meets at Old Inlet Bait and Tackle (located two miles north of the Indian River Inlet). Please arrive at least 15 minutes early. Class departs promptly for Conquest Road Fishing Area (immediately north of Old Inlet). Classes last approximately 2 hours.

All bait provided. Bring your own equipment or rental equipment is available at Old Inlet.

You will need to bring: drinks, sunscreen, bug spray. Please dress appropriately.

Private Lessons

Perfect for families or anglers seeking individual attention. Available April through December as weather permits.

2 Hour "Intro to Surf Fishing": $75 up to 3 people. Customized trip available - price to be quoted.

You will need to bring: drinks, sunscreen, bug spray. Please dress appropriately.

Deposit required for all private lessons. All private lessons will occur in the Delaware Seashore State Park and originate from Old Inlet Bait and Tackle.

I learned so many things that I did not know that it turned my surf fishing experience around. Everyday after the class I caught fish in the surf.
